Join us this Wednesday, May 1st at 7 PM, as Holocaust Survivor, Ronnie Reutlinger Breslow tells us her story. Following this, we will read the names, of those who perished in the Holocaust, for a 24 hour period at Temple Sholom. Click below for the Sign Up Genius so you can volunteer to read the names. We are deeply saddened to learn of today’s synagogue attack. May the memory of the victim be a blessing and may those injured quickly find healing. Synagogues, mosques, churches....those looking for love attacked and killed while praying, what can be said? We simply want to share words of Professor Michael Walzer found in our prayer book Mishkan T’filah as we conclude Passover and Shabbat learning of this tragedy: “Standing on the parted shores of history, we still believe what we were taught before ever we stood at Sinai’s foot; that wherever we go, it is eternally Egypt–that there is a better place, a promised land; that the winding way to that promise passes through the wilderness. That there is no way to get from here to there except by joining hands, marching together.”
